Bernd Gebert

Bernd has been studying and practicing ancient wisdom since 2013. In his long search for answers to life's big questions, he met Geshe Michael Roach in a Diamond Cutter Institute (DCI) course. "It totally changed my life," says Bernd. He studied all of DCI's courses and the lam rim, and completed the Asian Classics Institute's 18 Foundation Courses in 2022.

Bernd has a degree in physical engineering  and now works as a social entrepreneur. For 20 years he had his own communication agency specializing in the creation of understandable instruction manuals for product didactics. In 2006, he founded a non-profit organization, Das macht Schule, and has since fostered the social and work skills of hundreds of thousands of students. In 2007, he was appointed by Ashoka, the global social entrepreneurship support organization, to the international network of leading social entrepreneurs. Bernd is an Ashoka fellow.

Bernd was involved in the establishment of the ACI organization for Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH), in long-term concept development to ensure the quality of ACI teachings there, and the development of the website. He lives and works with his lifelong partner close to Hamburg.
