Update on the Asian Classics Institute's 30/30/30 Plan
At the Medicine Buddha retreat in October 2023 at Diamond Mountain Retreat Center in Bowie, Arizona, Geshe Michael Roach announced a new vision: the 30/30/30 Plan.
A big part of the 30/30/30 Plan is helping Asian Classics Institute keep the doors open and the dharma flowing around the world. ACI is making exciting progress in adding more certified teachers, offering more of the 18 Asian Classics Foundation Courses all the time, broadcasting in more and more of the world's languages (up to 17 now), and adding cool new offerings such as Living Lam Rim and classics like Bringing Wisdom to Life.
But it's getting more expensive! ACI courses are always free to everyone online, and the small amount of money ACI makes when offering in-person retreats or curated packages is not enough.

Update on the Vision for 2030
The other part of the 30/30/30 Plan is Geshe Michael's vision to take Asian Classics Institute into the 21st century. If we can get the 1000 donors, Geshe Michael has pledged to do some amazing new things by 2030:
Geshe Michael will finish the Pabongka Rinpoche lam rim teaching, A Gift of Liberation Thrust into the Palm of Your Hand. We are on Day 19 of this historic 24-day teaching now. We anticipate we will finish this wonderful text--Geshe Michael's favorite book in the world--in about a year
Geshe Michael will then begin--and finish!--teaching us something very exciting: the emptiness section of the Lam Rim Chen Mo of holy Je Tsongkhapa himself! Geshe-la has always said the Lam Rim Chen Mo was too difficult to tackle. But now that we have all so diligently studied A Gift of Liberation Thrust into the Palm of Your Hand, Geshe Michael thinks we are ready to dive into the Lam Rim Chen Mo! We can't wait to begin this exciting journey under the wing of our precious teacher.
Geshe Michael will make 100 meditation videos based on the steps on the path teaching. Turning this major enlightenment teaching into meditations that each of us can do every day is a wonderful gift. Nothing like this has ever been seen before.
Even more exciting, Geshe Michael has promised us Lam Rim Manga--the entire steps on the path teaching, but not in words. Geshe-la will crystallize the steps on the path into a series of images. We are hoping for cartoons, in the style of Japanese manga. But stay tuned as details emerge and the plan develops.
