Markus Zahrl

Markus is a musician and music teacher from Austria. He lives near Vienna. He studied jazz saxophone and pedagogy at the Conservatory of Vienna and had a scholarship at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. As a musician and composer, he performs numerous concerts in Europe and around the world, and works as a studio musician, arranger, composer, live musician and graduate music educator. 

He trained as a certified shiatsu practitioner and had his own practice for a long time. Markus has been studying the health effects of sound and frequencies on humans for many years. 

In 2014 he started taking the 18 ACI Foundation Courses from the Asian Classics Institute, and in 2019 completed three ACI teacher trainings. He has taught ACI Teacher Training in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), including several ACI courses and various study groups. The wisdom of ACI helped him change his life. He has improved his personal relationship and planted seeds for success in his music career. Currently Markus lives in the intergenerational co-housing project Pomali in Austria.
