How to

Do Retreat

Have you ever wondered how you would do a retreat on your own? What are the steps you need to take? What do you actually do on Day 1? How do you need to prepare? Where should you do it?

ACI's How to Do Retreat course, March 17-April 8, will lay out for you in precise detail just what to do when you go on a spiritual retreat. Retreat is an important life event that can give you deep spiritual refreshment and wonderful insights, but our modern age does not give us much information on how to do it. Maybe you finally made a decision to go on retreat, and now you are wondering how to do it.
Taught by a team of teachers experienced in timeless wisdom, veterans of many retreats themselves, both long and short, How to Do Retreat will give you that missing information.

You will learn:

● why go on retreat?
● what is a retreat?
● what are the benefits of doing retreat?
● how to set an intention of bodhichitta for your retreat
● solving the “I don’t have time” objection
● the logistics of retreat
● what if you go on retreat?
How to Do Retreat is a very practical course, free of charge and open to all. It’s an ideal way to prepare for retreat. This might be the next Steps on the Path Retreat, which will be held April 12-21 at Diamond Mountain Retreat Center. Or it might be a personal retreat you do at home, or a local group retreat, or another kind of retreat guided by a teacher. It’s great preparation for all retreats.
How to Do Retreat will be taught online by certified ACI teachers Ven. Gyelse, Ven. Sunam, Alex Rivas (in Spanish with translation), and Jenny Wang (in Chinese with translation). Join us!
